不眠症　下
街のはずれに出現したダークタワー。この絵を描いて いた時、バベルの塔の事が気になり、その由来につい て調べてみました。すると、「神の世界にまで届くよう な塔を建設しようと考えた人間は、石や漆喰の代わり に、レンガやアスファルを使い、効率的な建築法を試 みた。しかし、神はその傲慢さに怒り塔を崩壊した」 というような事が書かれていました。 余談ですが、その数ヶ月後、あの世界貿易センター の崩壊をテレビで目にする事になりました。

Insomnia (volume 2)
"Dark Tower"appeared in the end of the town. When working on this, Towerof the Babel got on my mind and researched its origin. It was written that"When a man tried to build a tower that can reach God's world, instead of using stone or plaster used brick and asphalt to build efficiently.
However,God got so angry with this insolence and ruin the tower."
